Seeing as Dota 3 has arrived, I figured I'd make a little post about this. For you who are not as familliar with Dota, there is no Dota 3, but a major patch note (7.0) was released recently and with all the changes that were made people are sarcasticly claiming it do be Dota 3. You can click here to see all the patch notes.
I must admit that my first impression of it was really, really bad. They completely changed the interface which for me, who are used to the old one was really confusing. They also made things like damage and armor of a hero harder to see. With that being said, having played quite a bit of matches now, I'm starting to get used to it, but I don't really understand why they changed it because it's definitely not better. On a more positive note, they implemented a skill tree which is actually a great addition. This means that every hero now has their own skill tree where they at lvl 10, 15, 20, 25 can choose a total of 4 out of 8 different buffs to their hero. This adds another element to the game and the possibility to counter the enemy team more easily. They also implemented a total of four healing spots throughout the map (with a cooldown) which is nice as you don't have to run back to the base as much. When it comes to the pro teams and betting, most teams actually seem to have been adapting quite well to all of the changes and my betting results doesn't seem to have been affected. The major difference right now on pro matches is that they are more intense and ends faster. Speaking of betting results, I'ma try getting a few tips up on matches shortly. All the best //Mike
